Hua Gratia was born in 2021 in Paris, founded by Junayd Hua, a French designer of Asian, African heritage.
The brand’s strength comes from a deeply personal wound: the loss, in 2018, of his beloved grandmother Võ Thị Hứa (1930–2018), a refugee of the Vietnam War.
A woman of resilience and light, she partly raised Junayd and shaped his view of life. Her courage, kindness, and unwavering faith became the designer’s first source of inspiration.
At the time of her passing, Junayd was going through a restless period. His awakening was sudden and profound: life is fragile and fleeting, and he could not let it slip away without fulfilling his purpose. From this realization came Hua Gratia, a fashion house conceived both as a tribute and a mission—to honor his grandmother’s memory and to convey, through clothing, a message of hope, dignity, and grace.

The name Hua Gratia captures the very essence of this journey:
- Hua, meaning flower, embodies beauty, delicacy, and blossoming.
- Gratia, the Latin word for grace, speaks of gift and inner light.
Together they form “The Grace of Hua,” or “The Grace of the flower”.

The logo, adorned with cherry blossoms, symbolizes the fleeting beauty of life. Like these blossoms, we are only passing through: it is up to us to bloom fully, to bring beauty and value to the world, and then to depart with dignity.
